How does the free trial work?
Sign up in the app and try every feature free — no credit card required. Set up classes, assign work, print worksheets, run mocks. When you're ready to grow, upgrade to Tutor Essentials or Tutor Pro in a couple of taps.
What's the difference between Tutor Essentials and Tutor Pro?
Tutor Essentials (£69.99/month or £650/year, up to 30 students) covers the day-to-day teaching platform: 20,000+ teacher-built questions, unlimited worksheets and printable PDFs, automatic marking, school-style mocks for 170+ schools, homework management and topic-by-topic progress tracking. Tutor Pro (£129.99/month or £1,200/year, up to 75 students) adds parent-ready progress reports with spreadsheet export, the custom mock builder and white-label branding — your logo and agency name on every PDF.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes — you can move between Essentials and Pro whenever you like. Email us at support@examhappy.co.uk and we'll sort it the same day.
What happens when I hit my student limit?
Nothing breaks — you just won't be able to add new students beyond your plan's limit. Upgrade to Pro for up to 75 students; tutoring more than 75, email us and we'll put together a custom plan.
How do payments work?
Card payment through Stripe, monthly or annual. Annual saves £190 a year on Essentials and £360 a year on Pro. Cancel anytime, no questions asked.
How does the PDF branding work?
Head to My Account in the app, upload your logo and enter your agency name. From that moment on, every worksheet, mock and practice paper you generate — plus every parent progress report — automatically carries your logo and copyright. White-label branding is a Tutor Pro feature.
How accurate is the photo marking?
99%+ accurate. We use the same Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) technology used by official exam boards to scan real exam papers, so the marks you get are exam-grade reliable. To use it, open My Papers, tap the photo upload button and snap your student's completed Exam Happy answer sheet — scores and topic-level insights are back in seconds, no manual ticking required.
Worth noting: every paper on Exam Happy can also be done entirely in the app — no printer, no photo upload, instant marking. We keep the pencil-and-paper route because nothing beats writing on real paper for exam practice; it mirrors the conditions students will actually sit in. Your call, paper by paper.
Can parents see their child's progress?
Yes — you can share a parent-friendly progress summary after each session, or invite parents to follow along with their own login. No extra admin from you.
Is the platform GDPR-compliant?
