Exam details:

Sutton Grammar School’s 11+ entrance examination has two stages:
Stage 1 includes Maths and English, both multiple-choice. The Stage 1 exam is based on the SET exam format.
Stage 2 includes Maths and English, both standard format (i.e., not multiple-choice). The English paper is also includes a writing task. The Stage 2 exam is written by the school and does not conform to any major Exam Board.

Each test paper includes questions typical to the KS2 national curriculum.

School registration opens
Parents who wish to register their daughter to sit the SET (part one) must complete a Supplementary Form initially, which can be found on the school’s website when registration is open.

Local Authority registration opens
Indicate to your Local Authority which schools you intend to apply to.
11+ Entrance Test (stage 1)
Everyone who has applied to the school will be invited to sit the entrance test.
Open Evening
The school holds an open evening for Year 5 students considering applying to the school.
11+ Entrance Test (stage 2)
Everyone who has been successful in the stage 1 test will invited to sit the stage 2 test.
