Southend High School for Girls uses the CSSE Essex 11 Plus exam. This examination has two papers

One is an English paper which covers comprehension, applied reasoning and creative writing

The other paper is Mathematics. this focuses on topic from the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum

Parents need to fill in the Common Application Form available from the CSSE website. Parents also need to complete the Single Application Form (SIF) which is used across the Southend Local Authority. Parents must also apply for a selective place for their son must complete the Consortium of Selective Schools in Essex (CSSE) application available here
