Exam details:
Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School uses the 11+ Secondary Transfer Test for Year 7 entry. This examination has two papers:
Paper 1 includes Comprehension, technical English and verbal reasoning skills, this is multiple choice and lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Paper 2 includes Non-verbal reasoning, spatial reasoning and Math’s skills, this is multiple choice and lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Each test paper includes questions typical to the KS2 national curriculum.

Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School scores are standardised, taking into account applicants’ ages and ensuring that no child is disadvantaged. All candidates with a standardised score above 121 will qualify for a place.
