Exam details:

Maidstone Grammar School for Girls exam consists of two papers, each lasting around 60 minutes. The first test covers English and Maths. The second test assesses a child’s Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning

A written exercise is also given but is not marked. It is used by a panel of headteachers and is only used for borderline assessment cases

Open Mornings and Afternoons
The school holds an open mornings and afternoons for Year 5 students considering applying to the school. The 25th and 26th April are open mornings. The 27th April is an open evening.

The Exam is organised by Kent Council Council and so you must register for the exam on the Kent Local Authority Website when your child is in Year 5. As a guideline, registration opened on the 1st June last year.
